Students attend Goligtly Career and Technical for two years enrolling in grades l0 and ll. Sixteen program offerings provide career planning and
training for jobs that match their interests and abilities. Second year stu-
dents participate in a five-week entrepreneurial class which explores the
various aspects of Business Management. Practicum, internships, scholar-
ships and cooperative education experiences are available. Preparation
and financial aid assistance are provided for entrance into higher educa-
tion/college.
Program completers will receive a certificate of completion.
• All students are both college prep and career prep. There are sixteen (16)
program offerings: Business and Technology: Academy of Finance, Academy
of Travel and Tourism, Call Center, Computer Graphics/Publishing Technology and Academy of Information Technology. Hospitality and Food
Services: Baking and Pastry Arts, Diversified Hospitality and Food Services,
Meatcutting and Charcuterie. Trade and Industry: Agriscience, Automotive
Body Repair, Automotive Service Technology, Computer Aided Drafting,
Biomedical Engineering, Law Enforcement and Mass Communication.
Students come to Golightly in the 10 and 11 grades to participate in two-
year programs where they attend for three periods and receive a credit
of l5 credit hours. We believe all students can learn and that learning in
the Career and Technical Center is enhanced by hands-on learning, up-
to-date equipment and an industrial-driven curriculum that is supported by
business/industry partnerships.

Career and Technical students receive awards based on their participation
in clubs and organizations.
