Located in the center of the city of Detroit, Northwestern is the site of the only planetarium in the Detroit Public School system. We are a school of choice, gathering our students from all over the city. We are a resource site for science and mathematics, the original site for the Science Connection program and the home of the Detroit Public School Technology Center.
We have the school-within-a-school program called the Smaller Learning Community where we place our newly enrolled 9th graders.
