About Us

Thirkell Elementary is a great school for children to attend! At Thirkell Elementary we take pride in working to meet and exceed expectations when it comes to providing our students with the tools they need to succeed. Our high rate of qualified teachers, dedicated parents, and strong community involvement is key to increasing academic achievement.

We take our responsibilities for educating your children very seriously. Ensuring that all students achieve to their maximum potential is Thirkell Elementary primary goal.

Thirkell's academic Programs consist of Open Court Reading, Reading Recovery, Project Seed, Algebraic Foundation, Addison Wesley Mathematics (grades 1- 5), Science, and Social Studies.

Thirkell is a wonderful school with great students, staff and parents. Our guarantee to parents is that when students leave Thirkell, they can go to any school (public or private) and be successful. Our neighborhood is very stable with a new housing development.

The special education students at Thirkell are transported by bus and some by cab.

Our major projects include making certain Thirkell is clean and safe for our students, staff, and parents.
