High Quality Pre-Kindergarten

We offer a high quality early learning experience for special needs and general education students 4 years of age by November 1. Detroit Public Schools’ Pre-K classroom curriculum is aligned with the National Early Childhood Standards and Michigan State Board of Education’s Early Childhood Standards of Quality.

About the Principal

As a National Board Certified Educator, Ms. Manciel brings a repertoire of knowledge in the areas of curriculum, instruction and assessment. Her goal is to provide research based practices for teachers to implement intervention strategies for students in order to build a strong academic foundation.

To create a student-centered learning environment with high expectations where every child is engaged in effective best practices. Our teachers dive deep into data in order to differentiate instruction, and parents are active participants in monitoring their child’s education by building professional learning communities.
