Bagley Elementary School has been recognized consistently by the Michigan Department of Education for meeting Adequate Yearly Progress and addressing the needs of students, grades Pre-K through 6, who require academic growth, as well as those at or above grade level.
Strong emphasis is placed on academic achievement by meeting the needs of students where they are and challenging them to accelerate. Curriculum highlights include individualized instruction, flexible grouping for achievement and “educating the whole child” to eliminate barriers to learning.
Our overarching strategy to ensure success for ALL students includes “Response-To-Intervention,” a data-driven approach to student achievement.

Accelerated Reading/Math, Vocal Music, STEM Program, Detroit Area Pre-College Engineering Program (DAPCEP), Choir, Sports, Quarterly Awards Programs, Annual Math Bee, Science Fair, Poetry Contest, Latch Key Program and Family Fun Nights, Academic nights and Literacy nights. Bagley is also designated a Community School which provides a Signals for Excellence Program, a Community Coordinator; the Pathways 2 Potential Family Resource Center which offers a DHS Success Coach and Employment Specialist. The school also offers a School Social Worker, Counselor, Psychologist, Speech Teacher and a Special Education program for students with learning disabilities and cognitive impairments.

Bagley Elementary School, in collaboration with the community, is to ensure all students receive a quality education that allows them to compete academically on a statewide, national and global level.
