Detroit Public Schools students, choir and athletic all-stars take part in Little Caesars Pizza Bowl

A 150-voice Combined School Chorus, hundreds of students with 95% school attendance from nine schools, and the entire State-champion Cass Tech High School football team and coaches are among the many Detroit Public Schools students being feted as part of Detroit’s Little Caesars Pizza Bowl on Tuesday, December 27 at Ford Field. Game time is 4:30 p.m. and the showdown between the Purdue Boilermakers of the Mid-American Conference and the Big Ten’s Western Michigan Huskies will be broadcast Live nationally on ESPN. The Detroit Public Schools Combined Chorus, under the direction of Willie McAllister, will sing the National Anthem from the 50-yard line at game time. Student singers attend Mumford, Cody, Cass Tech and Martin Luther King Jr. Senior High Schools and Detroit School of Arts. The Cass Technicians football squad and their coaches will be recognized during an on-field ceremony during a game break.
