At Mann Elementary K-5 School a great deal of thought and preparation is put into the quality of education students receive. Principal Gwendolyn Frencher and her team of 100% highly qualified core academic staff don’t aim to just get students through to the next grade, they aim to set them on an educational path that will allow them to succeed and achieve academically.

Being rated a High Performing “Good School” by the Skillman Foundation and receiving numerous Gold Apple Awards, means that Mann Elementary is doing something right. Student achievement continues to soar as Mann continues to meet AYP. Teachers set high goals for their students, and students rise to the challenge. Principal Frencher refers to Mann Elementary as a “Learning Community” because starting with its youngest students, Mann gets all involved-parents, community partners, teachers and students-to ensure that a quality educational foundation is laid and students develop good habits that they will carry with them when they leave.

At Mann Elementary students have the chance to participate in the Academic Games, Book Club, Chess Club, Choir, Girl Scouts, the Honor Roll Club and a variety of other activities. Students also strive each year to be the guests’ of honor at the Honors Assemblies held to recognize students in Scholarship, Attendance and Leadership. Mann is equipped with 30 state of the art computers providing students the chance to learn new and evolving technology first hand.

Mann also cares about the families of their students and offers annual programs such as MEAP Parent and Child Workshops, Christmas Programs, October Festival, Winter Multi-Cultural Feast,
a Spring Program and Fashion Show, and Family Math and Science Night. These programs give Mann staff the opportunity to connect with students and their families to build positive relationships that enhance and aid in learning.
