In accordance with the Agreement between DAEOE and the Board of Education of the School District of the City of Detroit, Article X, Vacant Positions, the following vacancy is announced:

Must have minimum of three (3) years of administrative support experience. Strengths must include trouble shooting and problem solving, excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; must be organized, work well alone or as part of a team; proficient in Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, PeopleSoft Finance, and Microsoft applications, PowerPoint, and word.
Regular Attendance is critical; must have an exemplary attendance record.
Must be able to verify whether U.S. citizen, resident alien, or otherwise authorized to accept employment in the U.S.
Must be physically able to perform the duties and responsibilities outlined with or without accommodations.
Under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer or Designee:
Prepare the Payroll on a bi-weekly basis for the Office of the CFO; record, track and submit payroll for office staff and teachers requiring workshop stipends.
Maintain a detailed list of all cash and checks received by the District on a monthly basis.
Must maintain all mandated federal and state quality assurance policies, procedures and provisions.
Maintain and update Comprehensive Financial Audit Reporting providing drafts for review.
Review and monitor specific work assignments to assure accuracy and thoroughness.
Maintain accurate and appropriate records and files relative to the effective operation of the office.
Prepare memoranda, answer telephones, and operate modern office equipment.
Greet visitors, take messages, and schedule appointments.
Communicate effectively both orally and in written form.
Fulfill other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the office of the CFO.
