Candidates must successfully complete the Office of Student Transportation Bus Attendant training session; must have the ability to relate well with students and parents; have a high standard of personal and professional integrity, initiative, in accomplishing objectives; and good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Must possess and provide proof of a High School Diploma or GED Certificate. Proof of eduation must be attached to on-line application at time of submission.

Must have experience working/dealing with children and/or adults who have physical impairments.
Regular Attendance is critical; must have an exemplary attendance record.

Must be physically able to perform the duties and responsibilities outlined with or without accommodations.

Must be able to lift or assist in lifting students as necessary.
Duties require walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, lifting, and squatting as necessary.
Under the direction of the Terminal Manager:
* Dismount bus and assist the mentally or physically challenged students entering or exiting the bus;
• Assist parent or guardian when necessary from the property boundary to the bus;
• Lift or assist in lifting students as necessary;
• Maintain current student rider list of all students’ names and addresses;
• Maintain order and strict vigilance, at all times, to ensure the safe transport of students;
• Monitor and assist students with seat bolt usage;
• Attend in-service workshops as needed;
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
