In accordance with the Agreement between NISP and the Board of Education of the School District of the City of Detroit, Article XV, Vacant Positions, the following vacancy is announced:

Location: Office of Food Services

Must have the ability to perform considerable skills in food preparation.
Successful candidate must possess and provide evidence of a High School Diploma or G.E.D. certificate plus t en (10) years of work experience in the Food Services Industry; or a High School Diploma or G.E.D. certificate and Associates Degree (in Hospitality Management) plus eight (8 )years experience in the Food Services Industry.

Must provide proof of experience as a Cafeteria Manager, School Lunch Manager, Hotel or Commercial Food Services Manager, or Hospital Dietitian.

Regular Attendance is critical; must have an exemplary attendance record.
Must be able to verify whether U.S. citizen, resident alien, or otherwise authorized to accept employment in the U.S.

Under the direction of the Special Programs Manager or designee.
1. Conduct weekly site reviews.
2. Assist with application approvals
3. Assist with training all staff.
4. Assist evaluating all menus for meal patterns compliance.
5. Trouble shoot any schools for corrective action; meals paperwork supplies, application, inappropriate food, and training.
6. Assist with meal attendance records for accuracy. Compare with the weekly claim.
7. Revisit schools that need corrective action and monitor schools for compliance with CACFP regulations.
8. Complete a menu substitution log weekly.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.
