Neinas Students Wear Pajamas to School for “Snuggle Up With A Good Book” event

March is Reading Month, and schools across DPS are celebrating with special activities to encourage a love of reading. At Neinas Elementary School, hundreds of students came to school in their pajamas to participate in a “Snuggle Up With A Good Book” event on March 23, 2012. Groups of readers are competing to read as many different genres as possible. Students have read books from genres including: Traditional Literature, Realistic Fiction, Historical Fiction, Fantasy, Science Fiction, Mystery, Informational, Biography, and Poetry. A tent was set up in one classroom so Guest Reading Buddies could read their favorite childhood books to small groups of children. State Rep.
