Due to the pending winter storm warning per the National Weather Service for later this afternoon, Wednesday, December 13, Detroit Public Schools Community District will follow a modified dismissal schedule today. Schools will not be following its typical Wednesday early release schedule. All K-12 schools will dismiss 2 hours early based on its normal bell schedule, and all after school and CTC classes will be cancelled. Please contact your school office directly should you have any additional questions.
All DPSCD Schools will resume our regular school schedule tomorrow Sept. 27th. Please ensure that students are in school and on time. Good attendance is critical to our students’ success.

Due to a hazardous weather advisory, DPSCD is issuing an early dismissal for all DPSCD schools for Tuesday September 26th. Additionally, all afternoon sports and training is canceled for Tuesday September 26th as well.
All schools will follow the half day dismissal schedule for Tuesday, September 26 due to near record high temperatures this fall. Please ensure that all students attend school as teaching and learning is still expected. Temperatures are expected to range up to the mid-90s. The half day early dismissal schedule is for school-based staff and students. All Central Office staff must remain at work the full work day. In addition, all afternoon sports and training are canceled Tuesday. For a list of half day dismissal times, please visit the school profile pages at detroitk12.org. Based on current weather predictions, we expect to return to our regular schedule on Wednesday.
