Carver STEM staff and students volunteer to make a difference

More than 200 volunteers from Carver STEM Academy, Wayne State University, Americorps Urban Safety Program and members of the community cleaned up the neighborhood surrounding the school for Make a Difference Day 2017. Staff and students creatively painted boards to place on abandoned houses to build a colorful and secure route to school.

“We are grateful for all of the hard work and support Carver has received from our partners to create clear and safe paths for our students to get to school,” said teacher Crystal Williams. “Carver is proud to be a part of an awesome and wonderful experience for our community!”
