Summer pop-up enrollment centers open for DPSCD families

In preparation of the 2017-2018 school year, Detroit Public Schools Community District opened three walk-in enrollment centers for families to enroll in any DPSCD school. The pop-up centers’ hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday from August 1 to August 18 at three convenient locations across the city.

District representatives will assist parents in choosing the best-fit school for their children. Parents will receive information about district schools and programs such as the tuition-free Montessori, honors academies, same gender options and career pathway high school options to name a few.

Examination and application schools still require parents to follow the application process. Parents/guardians must apply in person and complete a DPSCD enrollment form found at detroitk12.org/enroll or available at any DPSCD school. Parents should bring their photo ID, their child’s birth certificate, proof of address, immunization record and transcripts or report cards.
