Up, up and away: DPSCD students receive Remote Pilots License

Six DPSCD CTE students have passed the 2-hour, 60-question Federal Aviation Administration test in order to receive their Remote Pilots License. The Flight Training Program through Davis Aerospace at Golightly CTC offers students the opportunity to receive their Commercial Remote Pilots License and State of the Art Simulator Flight Training. Employment opportunities are just starting to ramp up and are expected to grow exponentially in the near future. Entry level jobs include aerial photography for real estate, landscaping, special events, sports games and more. Most high paying salary remote pilot jobs available today are incorporated into a careers such as the military, news crews, police and fire departments and the inspection of railroads, bridges and wind turbines. Congratulations to DPSCD’s newest Remote Pilots!
