Students will Study in Italy for Once-in-a-Lifetime Experience

The DPSCD Office of Literacy has announced a four-year partnership with the Palazzo Strozzi Foundation, based in New York, NY.  Two DPSCD high schools will be selected each year to participate in this initiative. The culminating project includes a research-based essay written from 1 of 3 writing prompts along with a Skype interview. Two students from each school are selected to travel to Italy during the month of July to study the Italian Renaissance at the NYU Campus. The DPS Foundation sponsored an awards ceremony to congratulate this year’s winners who will spend July in Italy:

  • Destiny Plump at Communication & Media Arts High School

  • Brionne White at Cass Tech High School

  • Andrew Davenport at Cass Tech High School

Note: there are only three students selected this year
