Breaking Barriers through Diversity

On Wednesday, ninth-grade students from West Side Academy and Chelsea High School met at Chelsea’s Washington Street Education Center for a student-led celebration of diversity and empathy called “Breaking Barriers.” This is the culmination of a year-long pen pal project between the students at the two schools. The project opened lines of communication that cross geographic and cultural barriers. The day consisted of icebreakers, dancing, skits, and Ted Talks. We’d like to thank Chelsea High School for collaborating with us on this amazing program!
