DPS Hosts High School and CTE Fair Showcasing Nearly Two Dozen Specialty and Comprehensive Schools

Detroit Public Schools hosted a High School and Career and Technical Education (CTE) Fair on Wednesday, June 1. The fair housed representatives from nearly two dozen of the District’s high school and career and technical centers, spotlighting their curriculums, offerings and accolades.

The three-hour event, held at Detroit International Academy for Young Women, showcased all DPS high schools and CTE centers, highlighting unique STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) offerings, baccalaureate programs, medical pathways, performing arts programs, culinary arts, automotive technology and more!

Representatives from the Detroit Promise also joined DPS’ high schools and CTE programs to discuss the new initiative allowing Detroit high school graduates a tuition-free path to college.
