Kicks 4 Kids (K4K), a non-profit organization dedicated to providing adequate footwear for children, sponsored a free shoe giveaway at Golightly Education Center on Thursday, May 26. K4K surprised the students by donating approximately 75 pairs of sneakers to students in grades four through eight.
Because the amount of shoes given away to students is less than Golightly’s enrollment, Principal Shirita Hightower worked with K4K to select students by their homeroom teachers with the focus being on economic need.
