Medicine and Community Health (MCH) at Cody, in partnership with Detroit Mayor Duggan’s office, local EMS and firefighters, and the American Heart Association is hosting a school and community event during National EMS Week to celebrate first responders.
Participants will learn hands-only CPR from MCH students and the AHA, meet EMS teams and learn tips to keep themselves and their families safe, participate in healthy cooking demos, and have a chance to have their home water quality tested by MCH students, among other fun and educational events. The event will be open to Detroit Public Schools’ students only from 9-11 a.m. and to the entire community from 4-6 p.m.
MCH will pay for buses for groups of DPS eighth graders that would like to attend the morning event! A limited number of buses are available so please email firstname.lastname@example.org ASAP with the number of students you would like to bring so that we can plan for you.
