Drew Transition Center receives Magformers kits for Autism program

Representatives from Magformers, a toy manufacturer located in Plymouth, Michigan and toy of the year nominee, visited Charles Drew Transition Center on Wednesday, April 27. The representatives presented the center with Magformers kits to be used by Drew’s Autistic students!

This partnership stems from Drew’s participation in a luncheon held at the Henry in March 2016 where Drew Principal Robert Avedisian and Horticulture Teacher Michael Craig were guests of honor. At the event, Drew was recognized as a premier work skills program and part of the amazing Detroit Public Schools. Some of the proceeds of the event were also donated to Drew Center.

Congratulations Drew students and staff!
