DPS’ Munger Elementary-Middle School Celebrates Autism Awareness Month by Showcasing Art Gallery In Memory of Mary Fussell, ASD Art Teacher

In conjunction with Autism Awareness Month and in memory of ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) Art Therapist Mary Fussell, Munger Elementary-Middle School is sponsoring an Autism Awareness Month Art Gallery on Thursday, April 28. The gallery will highlight the artistic talent of the students in Munger’s ASD program. Each classroom in the ASD program submitted a project of their choosing to display at this gallery showing. The projects will range from large group projects where all of the students contribute or individual projects that are put on one singular display board. Also in honor of Autism Awareness Month, the suggested colors for the display boards are blue and white.

Parents, teachers, students and administrators are welcome to attend the event. For more information, contact Sarah Jardine at sarah.jardine@detroitk12.org.
