Martin Luther King, Jr. Senior High School students awarded as State Champions and Finalists at the Michigan DECA State Career Development Conference!
Michigan DECA hosted the State Career Development Conference at Cobo Hall on March 11-13, 2016. More than 5,000 students from across the state of Michigan competed in various role plays and written events. Martin Luther King students Kaila McClain, Tia McKalpain, and Carrimia Owens competed and were awarded as State Champions for their Community Service Project written event. These students will now compete at the DECA International Career Development Conference in Nashville, Tennessee April 22-27, 2016. Also, student Maia Rozier was awarded as a finalist in the Professional Selling event.
