The Michigan High School Athletic Association Boys District Tournament’s Semi-Final Round concluded Thursday, March 9.
The results from the games held at Grosse Point South High School are Western edging East English in overtime 77 to 76 and King beating Cass Tech 54 to 37.
At Southfield High School, Renaissance beat Southfield Lathrup 60 to 45.
The District Championship games on Friday, March 11, will be Western vs. King at Grosse Point South at 7:00 p.m. and Renaissance vs. U of D Jesuit at Southfield at 7:00 p.m.
The outcome of the games held at Detroit Collegiate Prep Academy are Detroit Collegiate Preparatory High School at Northwestern smashing Hazel Park 90 to 63. Along with Mumford barely beating Warren Fitzgerald 61 to 57.
The games held at Livonia Clarenceville were between Henry Ford and Detroit Old Redford. Henry Ford was triumphant in a 113 to 72 win. Communication and Media Arts High School, or CMA, played Bradford Academy and won by a large margin of 69 to 42.
At Harper Woods, Osborn won its game against Denby by 17 points in a 71 to 54 game.
For the District Championship on Friday, March 11, DCP at Northwestern will play Mumford at 5:30 p.m. at DCP at Northwestern. Osborn will verse Harper Woods-Chandler Park at 5:30 p.m. at Harper Woods. Henry Ford will battle CMA at 6:00 p.m. at Livonia Clarenceville. University Prep is at Douglass at 6:00 p.m.
At Loyala Pershing won a heated game against Detroit Edison Public School Academy 77 to 72.
Pershing will face Loyola in the District Championship Friday, March 11, at 5:00 p.m. at Loyola.
