NACSA: DPS scores 12 out of 12 on Index of Essential Practices for authorizers

Detroit Public Schools’ Office of Charter Schools scored 12 out of 12 points on the National Association of Charter School Authorizers’ (NACSA) annual Index of Essential Practices, which was released in January 2016.

DPS was one of only two authorizers in Michigan that were identified as using all 12 practices.

Each year, NACSA releases an analysis of how well authorizers across the country are implementing the 12 practices that it deems critical to fulfilling the responsibilities of being an authorizer.
