J.E. Clark Preparatory Academy and Community have a lot to be Thankful for this Holiday Season! Clark student council and staff hosted their 4th Annual Community Dinner on Tuesday, November 24. This year, the school’s Service Learning Project fed over 150 people from the Clark Community, St. John’s Community Center, and St. Anne’s Nursing Home. Clark teachers and staff donated turkey, ham, greens, yams, rolls and desserts.
Athletes for Charity President Cathleen Laporte donated over 20 turkey baskets to the community which were given out by Principal Demond Thomas at the dinner.
“It was nice to know that Clark School and Athletes for Charity have a big heart and care about their community”, said a resident from St. John Community Center.” This is the 4th year we have been invited and their event continues to grow each year, we love you Clark School.”
Habitat for Humanity also donated over 75 hats, scarves and gloves to Kindergarteners for the winter season. The Kindergarten students and Clark School appreciate the generous donation made by Habitat for Humanity.
