College Decision Day event allows seniors to apply to universities and gain acceptance letters in one day

1. IMG_2701Detroit Public Schools’ high school seniors attended Decision Day 2015 on Saturday, October 31 at Cass Technical High School. Decision Day is an exclusive college admissions event created for high school seniors in the city of Detroit that allows students to drop off application material for local universities and receive a decision on their acceptance in a matter of hours. The event featured representatives from 16 universities from across the state to meet with students and their families. Application material and acceptance letters were distributed all within one day.

6. Jerry L. WhiteStudents and staff across the district also celebrated “College Day in the D’PS” on Thursday, October 29. All K-12 students and staff were encouraged to dress in college attire in support of Michigan College Awareness Week.
