Detroit Public Schools is undergoing an unprecedented period of transformation that will position DPS as one of the high-quality Pre-K educational options for families city-wide. To help recruit talented educators even for our earliest of learners, DPS’ Foundation for Early Learners will host a Pre-K Job Fair on Friday, August 14, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Fleming Administration Building, 18501 Waltham, Detroit, 48205.
The Pre-K Job Fair is being held in preparation for Opening of Schools and aims to fill positions for the upcoming 2015-2016 school year. Interviews will be held on-site and conditional offers provided to qualified candidates. The teaching positions being recruited during this career fair will also build upon the District’s current talent acquisition pool.
All are welcome to attend the Fair and apply for open positions.
“At DPS, we embrace, support and provide high-quality early childhood education because we know a great foundation in early learning is the foundation for academic success,” said Wilma Taylor-Costen, Executive Director, DPS Foundation for Early Childhood.
Applications are being accepted for Pre-K positions in the following areas: ZA/ZS Endorsed Teachers, Associate Teachers and Noon Hour Aids.
“If you have a desire and willingness to work with young children we are waiting for you,” said Anita Totty, Director, Early Childhood Education. “As a member of our team you will help transform the lives of our youngest citizens. Henry Ford once said, “Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success.” We are only as successful as our team. Come, join our team.”
Applicants are asked to bring your resume, college transcripts, high school diploma, Driver’s License or State I.D., Social Security Card, CDA or Work Keys Certificate and all other supporting documentation.
