Cass Tech students receive multiple awards at 78th Annual Detroit Public Schools student Exhibition

Cass Technical High School students received multiple awards at the annual Detroit Public Schools Student Exhibition. The event features hundreds of imaginative works created by DPS students in grades K-12, ranging from paintings, prints, drawings, photography, ceramics, videos, jewelry and more.

The 78th Annual Student Exhibition kicked off Saturday, April 18 and will run through May 31, 2015 at the Detroit Public Library – Main Branch.

2015 Cass Tech Special Award winners:
Drawing Award
1st Place- Yazmon Ector, 12th grade

Sculpture Award
1st Place- Joshua Powell, 11th grade
2nd Place- David Haliburton, 11th grade

Ceramics Award
1st Place- Surayla Chowdhury, 9th grade
2nd Place- Daniel Frank, 12th grade

Jewelry Award
1st Place- Adriana Garcia, 12th grade
2nd Place- John Pinchum, 12th grade
3rd Place- Chavonne Gault, 10th grade

Fibers Award
1st Place- Dejah Sanford, 12th grade
2nd Place- Theo Chillis, 11th grade
3rd Place- Denyne Carter, 12th grade

Painting Award
2nd Place- Chantel Booker, 12th grade

Photography Award
2nd Place- Samuel Trotter, 12th grade
