Detroit Public Schools’ students scored the top spots in the 2015 NAACP Essay/Art Contest, “What the Civil Rights Struggle Means to Me.” The contest was sponsored by the Detroit Branch NAACP and Coca-Cola. Students will be honored during a special ceremony on Wednesday, April 29 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History.

Third Place: Devin Powell, Paul Robeson Malcolm X Academy
