Subtraction, Addition, Multiplication and Division! DPS to hold 3rd Annual District-Wide Mathematics Bee Competition

The Detroit Public Schools Office of Mathematics, led by Executive Director Irene Nordé, Ph.D., will hold its 3rd Annual District-Wide Mathematics Bee Competition on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Detroit School of Arts. Students from elementary schools in the district competed at the school level during the weeks of February 23 – March 11, 2015. Winners from the School-Wide Mathematics Bees will now move on to the district-wide competition. Students will be competing for 1st place, 2nd place and 3rd place trophies.

WHEN: 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Saturday March 28, 2015
Students in grades 1-2 will compete from 9-11 a.m. Students in grades 3-5 will compete from 12-3 p.m. The students will be quizzed on subtraction, addition, multiplication and division.
