Pasteur’s Principal Project

Principal Sharon Lawson recently assigned two project contests to the students at Pasteur Elementary School. The project topics were to research and learn about The State of Michigan and the Dollar Bill.

Principal Lawson assigned the Michigan Project to the sixth graders and the Dollar Bill Project to the fifth graders. These projects were research-based contests and students had to learn as much as they could about the State of Michigan and the Dollar Bill. There were first, second and third place prizes for both projects. Outside judges were invited to come in and rate all the projects and choose the winners.

Sixth-Grade Winners for the Michigan Poster Contest:
1st Place- Tarrin Dewberry
2nd Place- Chartavia Whorton
3rd Place- Destiny Mendenhall

Fifth-Grade Winners for the Dollar Bill Poster Contest:

1st Place- Cierra Washington
2nd Place- Taneya Hall
3rd Place- Cherokee Myers-Jennings

Tarrin Dewberry said, “It was very informative, I learned a lot and it was fun to do!”

Cierra Washington explained, “It was a lot of hard work, but I had fun doing it and I was very appreciative of all the wonderful gifts that I received. It was not about the prizes; it was about the hard work and what I learned.”
