East English Village Prep to host “Historically Black Colleges and Universities” College Fair Tues., Nov. 18

The 2014 Historically Black Colleges and Universities College Fair, an event that allows seniors to gain access to valuable information regarding finical aid, future careers and network with nearly 15 universities, will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 6-8 p.m. at East English Village Preparatory Academy.

Students should bring a copy of their transcripts and ACT test scores. No registration is needed. Computers will be available for students to fill out FAFSA Registration Forms and college applications.

Detroit Public Schools’ 2014 graduating class scored $138 million in scholarships and grants. Dr. Barbara K. Smith, Director of the Office of Guidance and Counseling, said she’s confident this year’s graduating class will top these numbers thanks to the resources DPS has provided to students.
