Get Schooled partners with DPS to launch 2014 Get Schooled Attendance Challenge

2014_15_DPS_StartStrong_flyer_FINALThis fall, Get Schooled is kicking off its continued partnership with Detroit Public Schools to boost attendance with two new challenges. The Start Strong Attendance Challenge extends now through September 19. Recognizing the importance of attendance starting from the very first day of school, Get Schooled is partnering with its friends at the Taco Bell Foundation for Teens to reward a Taco Bell ® Truck visit and surprise celebrity appearance on October 7 to the middle or high school with the highest attendance rate during the first three weeks of school! To win, all students have to do is come to school!Download the Start Strong Attendance Challenge flyer.

The focus on attendance continues with the Get Schooled National Attendance Challenge—a 9-week friendly competition across middle and high schools that aims to inspire and engage students and ultimately increase school attendance rates. On October 6, Get Schooled will kick off the national 9-week Challenge.

This Challenge includes tons of prizes, including a $1,000 gift to the winning Detroit school. Most importantly, the Get Schooled Attendance Challenges really do boost attendance. Historically, 66% of schools active in Attendance Challenges post an increase in their attendance rates.

To participate in the National Get Schooled Fall Attendance Challenge, you must sign up as soon as possible.  Only 20 middle and high schools in Detroit will be able to participate. The application deadline is September 5.
