Dr. Michael Eric Dyson visits Frederick Douglass Academy for Young Men

IMG_0730As part of the “Pledge by America’s Great City Schools” to support African-American and Hispanic males, Dr. Michael Eric Dyson gave a motivational speech at Frederick Douglass Academy for Young Men on June 5.

A total of 45 young men from select schools across the district, along with two male chaperones from each school, attended a presentation by the renowned author, professor, Detroit native and DPS graduate centered on helping minority male students excel in school and beyond.
