Hundreds of students and staff took part in the 2014 Literacy Fair titled, “Writing with Purpose and Reading for Fun: Empowering our Children, our Schools, and our Communities.”

The Detroit Public Schools’ Office of Literacy was proud to hold the 2014 Literacy Fair titled, “Writing with Purpose and Reading for Fun: Empowering our Children, our Schools, and our Communities.”

Participating students and staff were from A.L. Holmes, Burton International, Carleton, Carver, Charles Wright, Clark, Clippert, Coleman A. Young, Duke Ellington at Beckham, Dixon, Durfee, Earhart, Fisher Upper, Golightly Education Center, Gompers, Mason, Nichols, Pulaski, Sampson-Webber, and Schulze.
