PSL baseball semifinals Friday to advance four teams to a finals berth at Comerica Park

A berth in the finals and the opportunity to play at Comerica Park will be on the line Friday (May 16) in the Detroit Public School League boys’ baseball semifinals at Clark Park and English Village High School.

Both sites will host two games, with King facing Renaissance at 2 p.m. and Western facing Cass Tech at 4 p.m. in the Mega Division semifinals at Clark Park, and East English Village playing Central at 2 p.m. followed by Ford playing Osborn in the East-West Division semifinals at East English Village.

The winners advance to the PSL Championship doubleheader Monday (May 19) at Comerica Park. As part of DPS Family Fun Night at Comerica, the PSL’s All-City boys’ baseball and All-City girls’ softball players, as chosen by league coaches, will be introduced during an on-field ceremony between title games. The East-West game is set to start at 4:30 p.m. and the Mega Division championship game is at 7 p.m. Gates open at 4 p.m. Admission is $5.
