K-8 Sports Program’s 1st ever Middle School Jamboree, Championship Game and Cheer Competition

Detroit Public Schools’ Elementary-Middle School Athletics Program hosted the district’s first ever Middle School Jamboree, Championship Game, All-Star Game and Cheer Competition Saturday, March 29 at Renaissance High School. The event was to celebrate the inaugural year of K-8 sports offerings across DPS. Athletes from all sports programs, parents and community members were invited to celebrate with students during the end-of-the season activities.

DPS will soon kick off an exciting Spring Sports season for students in kindergarten through eighth grades with co-ed sports including basketball for grades K-2; golf, grades K-5; flag football, grades 3-8; soccer, grades 3-8; track & field, grades 6-8; and baseball, grades 6-8.
