DPS Fine Arts achievements

Detroit Public Schools and the Office of Fine Arts congratulates the following schools, directors, ensembles and students for being selected to perform in the 2014 Michigan Youth Arts Festival on May 8 and 10 at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo. 

Being selected to participate in the Michigan Youth Arts Festival is one of the highest honors a high school student can achieve. These individual students and/or ensembles were rated as one of the top performances in the state.

The Cass Tech Dance Workshop was selected for the Opening Night Gala Performance, Thursday, May 8 at 7 p.m. as well as for the Dance Showcase Concert, Saturday, May 10 at 10 a.m.

The Renaissance Dance Workshop was selected for the Dance Showcase Concert, Saturday, May 10 at 10 a.m.
