DPS students receive First Independence Bank scholarship grants

Students from Renaissance High School, Foreign Language Immersion and Cultural Studies School (FLICS) and Ludington Magnet Middle School were awarded scholarship grants from First Independence Bank on Friday, March 14. Several students also received honorable mentions.

Scholarship recipients include:

High School

1st Place: Deion Love, Renaissance High School, $2,000 Scholarship
2nd Place: Lauren Uddyback, Renaissance High School, $1,250 Scholarship
3rd Place: Claicissa Bakrsdale, Renaissance High School, $750 Scholarship

Middle School

1st Place: Jendayi Anderson, FLICS, $500 Scholarship
2nd Place: Jalen Nichols, Ludington Magnet, $350 Scholarship
3rd Place: Rageon Thomas, Ludington Magnet, $150 Scholarship
