Branden Taylor, a 9th grade student at King High School was one of eight winners to receive an award at the Chrysler Autorama High School Design Competition on March 7.
Participants were tasked to design a concept car that is eco-friendly for the first-time car buyer. Two winners were selected from each grade level, 9th through 12th grade. Taylor’s design earned him first place in the 9th grade division and was the only award winner from Detroit Public Schools.
Taylor was the recipient of an iPad, which was awarded to him at a special ceremony at COBO Hall at the opening of the 62nd Annual Meguiar’s Detroit Autorama.
