The students of Paul Robeson Malcolm X Academy are taking part in “September is National Preparedness Month” through an Emergency Preparedness Poster Contest.
During National Preparedness Month, the Institute for Population Health, City of Detroit’s Department of Public Health & Wellness Promotion, and Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management is sponsoring an Emergency Preparedness Poster Contest for Paul Robeson Malcolm X Academy’s middle school students.
Although this contest is specific to Paul Robeson, all schools are encouraged to use this opportunity to get students thinking and learning about natural disasters, how to prepare, and how to stay safe! We’d love for all Detroit Public Schools students to be prepared to be heroes when disaster strikes!
The winning posters will be recognized before the Detroit City Council, and displayed at Paul Robeson Malcolm X Academy. See the attached flyer for more details.
Congratulations Paul Robeson Malcolm X Academy and good luck on your contest entries!
