Medicine and Community Health-C2 Pipeline students support the fight against Breast Cancer

Medicine and Community Health Academy (MCH) at Cody student residents and students enrolled in the Wayne State University C2 Pipeline after-school program at MCA participated in the 22nd Annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure on Saturday, May 18th.

While walking through Midtown with thousands of people to support the cause, MCH students were able to reflect on their knowledge from enrichment activities offered in both school programs, which promotes volunteer and service learning projects.

The students’ most exciting moments of the event included being interviewed by a local radio station, meeting Detroit City Council President Charles Pugh and getting signatures of support for Carol Goss, President and CEO of the Skillman Foundation and a four-year-survivor.
