Six students from Golightly CTC are the proud recipients of the Detroit EM News, L3C–Academy of Social Enterprise scholarship.
Congratulations Tykhea Thomas, Dajuan Davis, Alonza Frederick, Krystal Wilson, Rico Lewis, Nirma Akter and Alicia Alvarez – First Year Graphics Design students attending Golightly Career & Technical Center.
The students were selected for their design abilities and for expressing the difference in their acknowledgement of social accountability and social responsibility within society.
Their socially accountable efforts provided Detroit Entertainers & Musicians News with the designs required to publish seven local Detroit business advertisements.
In recognition, each student was awarded a “$25 Socially Accountable Scholarship” presented by Detroit EM News, L3C. Students took part in enrichment sessions which enhanced their educational experience at Golightly CTC as part of an extension program offered by Detroit EM News, L3C – Academy of Social Enterprise.
