Spain students participate in ACES!

Spain Elementary-Middle School participated in ACES (All Children Exercise Simultaneously) where Physical Education teacher Gloria Celina and the staff brought together the entire school for physical activity.

ACES is a Michigan Fitness Foundation campaign to encourage children to become more physically fit. This year Michigan had more than 1,000 schools exercising together on May 1, making Michigan the most active ACES state in the country.

The Dynamic Vision Dance group, directed by Angela Blocker, started the event with a very high energy dance routine. Next, the students prepared their muscles for the day with an assortment of stretching exercises followed by running in place and lots of jumping jacks!

Spain offers Physical Education classes to students and is committed to initiatives such as First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move campaign, to make the students physically strong.
