Ivan Ludington Magnet Middle school held its 24th Induction Ceremony for The National Junior Beta Club.

The Beta club is a national Honor society, with headquarters in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Ludington became a chartered member of Beta Club in 1989.

The club currently has 32 members. Students must maintain a 3.5 or higher GPA for two quarters of the school year, and a 3.0 or higher in order to remain in the Club. 40 students in grades 6-9 were inducted on March 7, 2013. A reception for inductees and their families was provided after the ceremony.
