“March is Reading Month” at Davison

Davison Elementary-Middle School had two guest celebrities at their school for “March is Reading Month” on Monday, March 4.

Preschool and kindergarten students listened in while Anqunette Jamison, News Anchor for FOX 2, read “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!” by Dr. Seuss and “Llama Llama Red Pajamas” by Anna Dewdney. During the afternoon, second and third grade students enjoyed a reading from CoCo, radio personality from WJLB FM 98, where she read “Skippyjon Jones and the Big Bones” by Judy Schachner.

Students enjoyed the animated and interactive readings done by the celebrity guests and were able to share stories, ask questions and took pictures with the guest readers.

This event was scheduled and organized by kindergarten teacher, Ms. Leighann Lingemann. The event was facilitated by Instructional Specialist, Ms. Calli Leslie and photos were taken by students of the Davison Tech Team “Techno Dragons” and Education Technician Afjal Hussain.
