Golightly Education Center students sponsor a fundraiser for Ronald McDonald House Charities

One of Golightly Education Center’s affiliates is League Michigan, a Service Learning Project Agency that focuses on building character traits like “giving” or “helping others.” A team of Golightly students, led by teacher Cheryl Vincent, invested money from The Service Learning Project Agency to sponsor a fundraiser that generated $500.00. Proceeds from the fundraiser were then donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Detroit in December 2012. In addition, multiple boxes of items were contributed by Golightly students, parents and local Girl Scout Troop 41931 from the “wish lists” of children living at the Ronald McDonald House.
