Paul Robeson, Malcolm X Academy students meet Civil Rights Activist Angela Davis

A group of nearly 50 students from Paul Robeson, Malcolm X Academy had the exclusive honor of meeting Civil Rights Activist & Feminist Angela Davis on the campus of Michigan State University November 14, 2012.

Paul Robeson, Malcolm X Academy was the only DPS school invited to attend the special visit.

Students from Robeson regularly attend such events to complement the school’s African-Centered curriculum. Robeson students recently performed the “Paul Robeson One Man Show,” which was a theatrical re-enactment honoring the life of the school’s names sake Paul Robeson.
