Lesson Recap: Time Management Strategies
With the help of Winning Futures volunteers, students at Golightly Education Center learned that if you become a good time manager, you’ll not only get a lot more done in less time, but you’ll feel more relaxed, focused and in control of your life.
“The important point students gained is that time management is not necessarily about getting lots of stuff done, because much more important than that is making sure that we are working on the right things (The “Have To’s”), the things that truly need to be done,” wrote Laurie Tarter, Program Director at Winning Futures.
Winning Futures is an award winning nonprofit organization that makes a difference in the lives of young people. They offer school-based mentoring programs and workshops for middle school and high school students in Southeast Michigan.
All of the programs focus on the life skills of character value identification, goal setting, career preparation, and strategic planning.
